With spring on its way I’ve started a 21 day dairy, gluten, and alcohol free cleanse. The official start date when I took out dairy, gluten and alcohol from my diet was Monday March 11th, but I started early with the dairy. At first when I was thinking about going dairy free I wondered how I’d do it, but surprisingly I’ve found I’ve been able to do it for the past week and half with ease.
Today I made a tasty green juice with my Vitamix. I’m new to making my own juices/smoothies, because in the past i would purchase them at Organic Avenue. Homemade fresh juices are a wonderful addition to a healthy diet, and making it easier for me to stick with this cleanse.
Gluten and dairy can cause acidity and inflammation in the body, and even though it has only been a few days since I started this cleanse I am already feeling more energized and lighter.

2 handfuls of spinach
chunks of ginger
dash of cayenne pepper
optional to add ice cubes
