Breathe

Are you breathing? Possibly a silly question, and yet it makes you think. Breath work (pranyama) is an important part of the yoga practice. Prana is our life force, without breath we can’t live. Learning to control your breath also helps reduce stress and anxiety. So check these videos our and watch your stress float away.

Ujjayi

This podcast is of the practice of ujjayi breathing, a pranyama technique. It is a short and easy way to become familiar with ujjayi. You will learn what it is and how to do it.

Suggested props: 2 blankets or 1 chair.

Continuing from last weeks breathe video practice we continue with our introduction to Nadhi Shodhana or Alternate nostril breathing. The 3rd Eye Chakra is our intuition, our imagination and perception. By balancing our breath we begin to balance our 3rd Eye as well.

Begin in virasana (hero pose) or suhkasana (cross legged seated posture).
