Yoga and The Art of Transitions
Transitions can be tricky, but when approached with ease they can be playful on the mat and off. The challenge is knowing what to let go of and what to hold onto. In yoga class transitioning from one posture to the next is often when we injure ourselves because we are so eager to get to the next pose we let go of too much and don’t keep steady where we need to. There needs to be a balance between letting go and staying strong. The same goes for our transitions in life, there is a fine balance to cultivate.
There is a grace and a balance to transitioning and like any other muscle it is something that needs to be worked on and honed. In this workshop we will play with beginner transitions to advanced. For example, flowing easily from up dog to down dog or gliding from handstand into a chaturanga. The art of transitions explores your threshold for change and adaptation.
